About this experience
Discover one of Catalonia's most emblematic landscapes on a private experience combining history, culture and nature.
We'll start the day exploring the surroundings of the Monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat, one of Catalonia's most important sites and a place of pilgrimage for centuries. We'll learn its history, its most notable spaces, and the viewpoints from which the spectacular mountain can be admired.
We'll then leave the busier areas behind to head into the mountain and walk its trails — about 7 km in total. We'll walk among the distinctive rock formations that gave it its name — Montserrat, "serrated mountain" — and discover some of its ancient hermitages and less-travelled corners.
As we gain altitude, the landscape opens up before us with panoramic views of Catalonia and, on clear days, the Mediterranean.
