About this experience
Your first day guiding at Hyde Park Barracks ends with a cold touch on your shoulder. A ghostly woman appears: help me find my son. In this self-guided mystery walk, you follow Alice through Sydney's most haunted streets to uncover who murdered Thomas.
Decode clues at the convict barracks where 1,700 men once slept in lice-infested hammocks. Walk the Forgotten Songs laneway, then descend into The Rocks to investigate Australia's most haunted hotel, an 1840s opium den, and a pub with a secret smuggling tunnel.
The route passes the Dead House where the Shark Arm Murder was investigated, the Merchant's House where a strangled wife still walks, and ruins where a ghost matches her 1831 murder description exactly. Real hauntings fuel every stop.
