Arriving to the Vatican area you can visit St. Peter's Square rebuilt and redesigned thanks to Gian Lorenzo Bernini between 1656 and 1667, the Basilica, the reconstruction of which was entrusted to Bramante, then Raffaello Sanzio, Giocondo da Verona, Giuliano da Sangallo and Michelangelo finally
The Pantheon was built in Rome between 118 and 128 AD under Emperor Hadrian.
Piazza Navona was built on the old stadium of Diocletian which was used for gymnastic competitions. Today you can admire The Fountain of the Four Rivers, the Fountain of Neptune and the Church of St. Agnes in Agony on Navona's square.
Piazza Venezia is the place where you can admire The Vittoriano (Altar of the Fatherland) and the balcony from which Benito Mussolini declared the world war II against France and Britain.
The Vittoriano or Altare della Patria ("the wedding cake") was built and designed by Giuseppe Sacconi in 1885
Trevi Fountain, the clear Baroque style is the work of Nicola Salvi. The artist was responsible for the construction of the fountain in the eighteenth century after winning a competition organised by Pope Clement XII.
In front of the Spanish steps you can see the Fountain Barcaccia by Pietro Bernini (Gian Lorenzo's father)
